Boycott of Exxon, not before time.
quote:
A coalition of environmental and liberal lobbying groups is planning to boycott Exxon Mobil products to protest the company's challenges to warnings about global warming and its support for oil and gas exploration in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge...

...Energy enterprises - among them oil and gas exploration companies, oil companies, electric utilities and even wind farms - have long provoked the opposition of environmentalists over specific projects, or prompted campaigns for shareholder resolutions.

But it has been perhaps a decade since the tactic of a nationwide boycott has been started against a single company...

...Among the groups involved in the campaign... ...are the U.S. Public Interest Group, Defenders of Wildlife, the Sierra Club, the Natural Resources Defense Council, the Union of Concerned Scientists and MoveOn.org Political Action...

And here is the website: ExposeExxon.com. Lots of good info and links

Also here's a link to the Exxonsecrets.org page about the Fraser Institute. It doesn't seem to have 2005 stuff yet; but good info.

A worthy addition to the many boycotts of ExxonMobil (aka Esso, operating in Canada as Imperial Oil).

Exxon boycotts summary

Stop Esso (Greenpeace Europe)

Exxon fuels Indonesian war (Int'l Labour Rights Fund)

Boycott Exxon, boycott homophobia
