The issue I'm having is that most of my posts are not showing up via the "Search" function, and when I go to my "Most Recent Posts" page, the posts that show up are not my 50 most recent posts.I have 1200 posts, including this one. My "most Recent Posts" is supposed to show my 50 most recent posts. Yet only 29 posts are showing up on this page. A few of them are recent, and the rest of them span the 3 1/2 years back to March 2005, when I created my account. When I perform a search for my posts using the "Search" function, the only results I get are the 29 posts that show up on my "Most Recent Posts" page. Has anyone else been had this problem of late?

A: Our search function is a piece o' crap, and pretty much always has been. I'd follow Fidels advice on that one. Fortunately we won't have to put up with it for much longer.B: Regarding the recent post lists, a couple of months ago, our aged, creaky, and unstable software gave a huge belch or something, and a whole bunch of posts, years worth in some cases, disappeared from that list. They're still there if you go to the threads in question, but they're just not available to locate through the usual means. For some bizarre reason this did not seem to affect everyone equally. C: Good God yeah, that thread's a mess. Looks like it's corrupted somehow. Not sure what's going on. We do have a team of tech gremlins working all over the system preparing for the upcoming changeover, so maybe that has something to do with it. Beats me. ETA: I think someone may have posted an incompatible link or something. [ 13 October 2008: Message edited by: oldgoat ]
