This Guardian article says that an MIT study questions the effectiveness of aluminum-foil hats at blocking government mind-control waves. But who is really behind the study??

quote:
To the authors of the paper, the meaning of all this is very clear. "Statistical evidence suggests the use of helmets may in fact enhance the government's invasive abilities," they conclude. "We speculate that the government may in fact have started the helmet craze for this reason."

To me, it's a lot simpler than that. This paper is itself a transparent attempt by the government to prevent us from taking simple and effective protective measures. Keep wearing the helmets. Unless, of course, what the alternative therapy conspiracy theorists say about me is true.

Coat the inside surface of the helmet with petroleum jelly, then pad with styrofoam (TM). As an added safety (and heat-conserving) measure, add ear-flaps, similarly treated. Mine is working fine. I hardly ever have a disrespectful thought about the GREATEST leader the FREE WORLD ever had.

The key here is the word *aluminum*. People think they moved from *tin* foil to aluminum because aluminum was cheaper or easier to use or just somehow more modern.
Far from it! THEY arranged the shift because while real tinfoil works, aluminum just acts as a receiving antenna, enhancing THEIR control. So by quietly "modernizing" the metal foil industry, THEY largely neutralized the one group that had been successfully resisting.
Only use real tinfoil in your tinfoil hats.

I know - The Guardian is usually what I read as well. However, they pulled this stunt in a recent interview with Chomsky: Medialens - The Guardian in the gutter

There's also a Heather Mallick column and a babble thread on the topic around here somewhere...

Things to do with your hat
Turn it upside down and use it as a solar collector.
Or crumple the foil and that makes the signal too difficult to decypher.
Or use it to help bake a chicken or turkey depending on the size of your head.
Or empty your head of useful thoughts to confuse them.
Or have an earth lead hanging down from it to the ground.
What does the SAS handbook say about tinfoil hats?
They probably have the difinitive solution to the tinfoil problem

O.K., I'll bite (so to speak). What's a reverse vampire? (I have a mental picture of my running around injecting blood into unsuspecting victims).

I had to come back here and listen to the otters' tinfoil hat song again; it keeps popping up in my mind every so often.
