The FOX TV series The Lone Gunmen (X-Files spin off) airs their opening episode "Pilot" six months before 9/11 which depicts a secret U.S. government agency behind a plot to crash a Boeing 727 into the WTC via remote control and blame it on foreign terrorists in the hopes of generating a bigger military budget.

Maybe Bin Laden saw this show. Or maybe Bush did?

The remote-conterolled airplane idea has been floating around for at least ten years, both in fiction and real life.
There is no why reason several, or even hundreds of, people can't see the same potential at the same time.

Cancer Man: "What I don't want to see is the Bills winning the Super Bowl. As long as I'm alive that doesn't happen."
Man #3: "Could be tough, sir. Buffalo wants it bad."
Cancer Man: "So did the Soviets in '80."
Man#3: "What, you saying you rigged the Olympic hockey game?"
Cancer Man: "What's the matter? Don't you believe in miracles?"

Argh! Don't remind of the X-Files. It never ended properly, and there is no movie forthcoming. What a disappointment.

What's the matter? You don't like happy endings to love stories?

Cop out on baby storyline. Still no explanation of what the alien conspiracy really is. Naturally, no explanation could possibly be forthcoming, since it was so byzantine there was simply no credible way to explain it.
