This would be fantastic for people with disabilities - quadraplegics, etc

Indeed; I know from having worked as a tech support guy as a while that the current method for those unable to touch the keyboard is somewhat lacking. It basically involves a verbal command to the mouse pointer, "Up grid" . .. . "stop" . . . ."Right grid" . . . . "stop" . . . .. "enter" and so on. I think part of the problem with this is because voice recognition software still hss a few years to go before you really have to carefully enunciate everything to make it work right.
