Is 521 a lot? I'm getting an install upgrade for MS office that says it will take up that much space on my macbook. Thanks!

It's half a gig - so it depends on how large your hard drive it, and how much of it is full. You should be all right, unless you have a ton of music/picture/video files that have eaten up most of your space.

I attended our local LUG last night and one of the geeks insisted that anything less than four gigs is inadequate for a modern computer. (I only have one gig.) Regardless, memory is cheap at the moment; don't skimp.
