I've heard about the Perpetual Motion Roadshow for a while now, and I'm totally intrigued by it, but I've never been to a show. In case you don't know, PMR is an indie press touring circuit featuring a revolving menu of poets, novelists, and performers who pile into a car and hit 7 cities in 8 days. It's apparently part punk rock and part vaudeville, and mostly importantly, they promise NEVER to host a boring reading - what a great idea! But what's the idea like in practice - is it all that different from your typical reading? Anyone out there know firsthand?
