BBC - German Chancellor Angela Merkel says the US detention camp at Guantanamo Bay "should not exist", in an interview days before she meets George W Bush.

Too late. One can only improve relations with Bush by sucking up.

Well, its more ironic because die Kanzlerin ran on a right-wing, "Atlanticist" platform.

No, I don't think it is a nostalgic "You haven't REALLY got the Konzentrationlager thing right" thing.
