In John Doyle's column in today's Globe (subscription required), Doyle reports that the CBC has delayed the broadcast of Prairie Giant: The Tommy Douglas story until after the election campaign.

quote:
CBC says, "It has been moved from Jan. 15 and 16 to March 12 and 13 -- because of the election campaign. We're concerned about the appearance of partisanship."

I must admit I've occasionally scoffed at people here who've accused the CBC of being a propaganda organ of the Liberal Party. But maybe I was wrong....

Pfft... any pro-NDP bias at the CBC that made it to air would indeed be only "the appearance of partisanship", all right. We know who they're really biased toward.
(I dunno if Doyle is though... I kinda suspect not.)

How many Trudeau miniseries have they made to date? If they ever do anything on Chretien, we can be assured that it will be somehow tied in to Trudeau.

Not saying that I didn't enjoy the miniseries (it sure beats Shania Twain), but I'm sure there are many other interesting people whose stories would make good documentary material.

I actually watched 30 mins of the Shania Twain thing. I admit it. Oh, and it sucked.

How many have aired during the last week of an election campaign?

Since this thread appears to be the one on this topic that took off, I'll close this.
