Arab states oppose UN measure on Israeli children

Israel's deputy UN ambassador, Arye Mekel, told
the committee last week that resolution was
one-sided because "we believe that all the
world's children are deserving of equal
protection, including Israeli and Palestinian

But al-Kidwa said the situation of Palestinian
children was unique in that "all of them are
collectively deprived of every single right in
the Convention on the Rights of the Child," a
global treaty that came into force in 1990.

Is the Palestine children's situation Unique?

Don't Israeli and Palestinian children deserve the same rights?

And finally what aren't there children around the world whose situation is just worse if not worse the Palestinians situation like lets say Sudan, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Philippines etc… are Palestinians so special and more deserving then these countries?

Does this not make the Israeli resolution the first it has ever dared to make in its 55 years of existence not only morally and ethically right but also necessary?
