I know there is another thread that discusses this general topic, but I thought to start a new thread as this article is new news from yesterday. May the moderator feel free to move it to the other thread if it would be better positioned there.

Detaining thousands of people while demanding complete co-operation from the other side is unfair at best and a set-up for sabotage at worst.

No problem. Actually, I remembered an earlier thread that deals specifically with the issue of Palestinian prisoners in Israel, and I think the discussion would fit quite well there.
