I'm sure many of you have heard about this already but it gave me one of the biggest chuckles I've had in a while: quote: "You will never be mayor of this city, this I can tell you right now. Because you say stupid and dumb things," Lastman told Miller, a remark that prompted gales of laughter.

I had to laugh. First thing that jumped to mind after I saw that on the news at lunch was Mel saying he and his wife were scared of being boiled in a pot when they visit Africa. Miller isn't the sharpest tool in the shead but does Lastman have to go this far with the oneupmanship? Anyone notice a resembelance to Krusty in that picture?

Proof, if any were needed, that one requirement for holding political office is a complete lack of self-consciousness. quote: Lastman left the council meeting after the vote and was unavailable for comment.
I'm surprised he didn't say something about taking his catcher's mitt and going home.

I am not saying I support the guy as I don't know his policies but I do admire him! Prolly for the same reasons I admire Don Cherry. These are the same qualiites that make some people hate these guys but hey! They are both very charismatic and not afraid to say what they are thinking, even if it is not politically correct. This makes them both easy targets but at least you know where they stand! A bit more then you can say for our PM! Or most politicans for that matter, including the NDP. The NDP is wondering how to sell themselves try having someone in charge with some charisma! This is something canadian politics is sadly missing. As you can tell from the past anyone who has had even a touch of chrisima is a legend in canada! This includes politics or anything else!

Doesn't Miller have a graduate degree from Yale or somewhere like that? "Be critical, but be correct." Stalin. (Quote invented by Jeff House to fill a need.)
