Once again the people of Newfoundland is being screwed by the federal government. Someone in DFO came up with the stupid idea to charge us to catch a codfish for our dinner. Now most people in DFO don't know what a codfish looks like unless they go into a search engine and bring it up. Now we pay $10.00 tax + $1.50 tax for 30 tags. As we catch a cod we have to put on a tag, but we are only allowed to catch 10 a day. Why? because we have to buy more gas to go out again, this means more taxes. But the biggest slap in the face is that Nova Scotia. PEI, New Brunswick, Quebec and BC. can catch what they want free. Why is this discrimation allowed? First of all Newfoundlanders are quiet people, we don't say too much when we get a slap in the face, we turn the other cheek. How many slaps can we take? I am sure there are other countries in this world that would love to have Newfoundland and treat us like human beings.Maybe if the french was not running this country we would be treated different, remember the french once owned Newfoundland and the english took it back. Are we being punished for that.
