I was very impressed by the CBC presentation last night that set the scenario of how and why the u.s. of arrogance is such a warmonger. I was Especially intrigued to hear that Japan had been trying for months to surrender but Truman had to drop the bombs for the propaganda interests it would offer. I suspect Fidel will appreciate the Economic colonialism remarks and the references to "blowback" too

The CBC is also presenting a 2 hour documentary on 9/11 that should be just as insightful.

But the most important show will be the one carrired out behind closed doors in the coming months as the Herpie government tries to appease the outraged u.s. military complex by killing the CBC once and for all.

Intriguing, yes, but not news to those of us who participated (including yourself) in this thread. It began with a reference to the article The Hiroshima Myth, which made it clear that Truman unnecessarily prolonged the war after the Japanese had expressed a willingness to surrender in May on the same terms that ultimately prevailed after the nuclear attacks in August.
