Gallup, has a breakdown from their last pre-election polling results. Also they have a interesting comparison of 2000 and 2004 results by various groupings. Interesting to see who vote for whom.

Well this thread is dropping like a rock. Time to post some of the more interesting numbers.

Postgraduate education
Bush, 2000 43%
Bush, 2004 47%
Change +4

College graduate (no postgrad)
Bush 2000 55%
Bush 2004 58%
Change +3

Some college
Bush 2000 53%
Bush 2004 56%
Change +3

High school or less education
Bush 2000 45
Bush 200 46%
Change +1%

Married men
Bush 2000 59%
Bush 2004 61%
Change +2

Unmarried men
Bush 2000 49%
Bush 2004 45%
Change -4

Married women
Bush 2000 56%
Bush 2004 58%
Change +2

Unmarried women
Bush 2000 31%
Bush 2004 36%
Change +5

It seems to me odd that Bush made such gains with well educated people, and single women.

Just lookng at the fact that more Republicans were polled than democrats (while there are more registered Dems than Repugs in the USA) makes the results almost worthless, or at leastdesigned to give a bias towards a pro Bush result.
