Not bad, I'd say.
Lib - 40
NDP - 27
CPC - 24

http://www.cra.ca/cra/index.cfm

Asked which party they would vote for if the federal election were held today, 40 per cent of decided voters said they backed the Liberals, while the Conservatives and NDP were even with the support of 24 per cent each.

Nine per cent said they would vote for another party, or didn't plan to vote at all while 21 per cent were undecided or refused to state a preference.

The results are considered accurate within plus or minus 2.8 percentage points, 95 out of 100 times.

May 14 - 31.

Outdated and too long a sample period. Not a reliable poll.

Actually, if yhou go to the CRA website the results as reported in the newspaper are wrong. The NDP is at 27% not 24%. In fact it is Liberals 40%, NDP 27%, Cons. 24%.

Needless to say most of the fieldwork was done before the election was even called and we know that the Liberals have fallen and both the NDP and Cons. have gone up since then. By now NS may be more likke 33/33/33.

In 1997 that kind of a split produced 6 NDP MPs, 5 PC MPs and ZERO Liberals!!

It would seem indeed to be an unreliable poll with suspicious reporting.
