Please note that the question "The Globe Poll: Should Canadian troops
be leading NATO combat missions in southern Afghanistan?" is currently
at 58% YES.

Your NO vote in very important!

The Globe and Mail

Cheers,
John in Halifax

I would have voted no to Canadian's serving as combatants on that side of the planet. Our two right-wing parties in Canada have no shame in their roles as pocket stuffing for Uncle Sam and corporate America. We need our own revolution in this frozen Puerto Rico.

I see the Globe's poll was conducted simultaneously with a dishonest op ed piece from Michael Granatstein, which (falsely) characterized the operation as "peacekeeping".

In such hands, the term is rapidly becoming meaningless--all international adventurism is likely to be called peacekeeping in the near future.

Well, according to a CP story that I just posted

in this thread:

quote:
Harper has been widely reported to be

planning a visit to Afghanistan, but the prime

minister says he will not be going in the

immediate future. Public opinion polls suggest

more than 60 per cent of Canadians are

questioning the country's increasingly dangerous

role in Afghanistan.

Crazy formatting done to work around the

UN-REASONABLE sidescroll issue...
