It would have been good had he used the public
discourse with the Israeli people through the
interview to announce a sustainable political
horizon that would include relinquishing the
right of return. But regional realities teach
that leaders' statements are usually directed to
their domestic opponents, and not to the core
public on the other side. In that sense, the
interview was very cautious.
