"Ancient History": U.S. Conduct in the Middle East Since World War Il and the Folly Of Intervention

In order to understand what is going on in the world you need to see events in context. Sometimes the news and even history books don't provide enough information to explain why world events go the way they do. I've been looking for something that sums up the realpolitik behind events in the Middle-East. This publication is the best summary I've found so far. Anyone interested in the Middle-East or American foreign policy should read this Cato Institute policy analysis.
