SHOULD THE EVIDENCE hold up—and it will—the Bush administration's lies constitute either an unwitting or witting effort to put American soldiers in harm's way, guaranteeing the deaths of some. America's military was deployed for reasons Bush and his entire foreign-policy apparatus either knew or should have known were false.

They did so to launch a war whose unprovoked nature was a sharp departure from international law and norms.

For weeks, various recently leaked or released documents have confirmed that there has never been much, if any, evidence in American and British files that even plausibly pointed to an Iraqi threat of either nuclear or other banned weapons, or Iraqi links to Al Qaeda. Intelligence analysts in both governments did not believe such threats existed

Well, first the Dems would have to grow a pair.
So, to answer your question: never.

There is a further impetus which drives this stone walling among the elite on the left, and that is that at this stage of the game a 9-11 investigation, with the tantalizing prospect of the impeachment of a Fuhrer dangling in the air before us, also results in the impeachment of the hierarchical leadership of the left. And so the hierarchy of the left must form a truly strange alliance with the Nixon White House, since they both risk impeachment. You see it is one of the truly marvelous moral laws embedded in the very substance of the universe, the very fabric of human existence, that sin always leads to a trap and a snare. Each day of stone walling that goes by, the hierarchy of the left is left wide open to impeachment
This I dont understand (?)

Just one more of those Fuhrer orders. The Fuhrer can suspend habeas corpus, something you might think would be real tough to override with a simple Fuhrer decree, and yet it is done. The Fuhrer can even issue Fuhrer orders calling for the destruction of civil rights and the rights guaranteed by the constitution, and that might be considered a tough thing to pull off, but look and admire the great power of the Fuhrer.

Have a look at the Emergency Measures Act, or whatever we call it these days. Every bit as frightening, IMO.

I think The Furher in this article refers to Bush. I have a running correspondence with my uncle who is 89 and sharp as a tack, on news, Bush, the war, the economy and I wanted to send him this article but its 14 pages long on the word processor!
