This article appeared in the Toronto Star, Health Section, on August 30, 2002. I think it's very important.

The government has been making noise about providing better accessibility for disabled people to education and all other avenues, but they are reducing the ability of children to access simple early education.

Learning disabled people can learn and learn well. They just have to be taught differently from the mainstream. Also, many high-functioning autistic people can hold jobs and be productive and reliable workers. So why are teachers for these children being further reduced?
