We'll be working on improving the look and function of babble over the next few weeks. Please let us know what you love/hate about the interface...We want to hear your ideas.

Thanks for your work on upgrading the babble software, Will!

I'm searching for a suggestion but I can't find one. I guess my search techniques are quite slow.

I would like a link to "Today's Active Topics" from the threads themselves. That way you don't have to go back to "babble" main page and then click on "today's active topics" after you're done reading a thread if you're the type to use Today's Active Topics exclusively.

Michelle, you don't need a link to "Today's Active Topics" from the threads themselves. If you entered the thread from "today's topic" your "Back" button on your browser takes you right back to today's topic. That is how I use it.

I do to, too old, but it gets to be a drag when a thread goes for two or three pages. I'm with Michelle on this one.

That's true, Too (nice short form for your name, I think I'll use it!), and that's how I use it too. However, the problem is, it doesn't refresh the T.A.T. page once you get to it, for one thing, and the multiple page threads thing is the other pain as JudyM says.

Oh, and the other thing is, if you've just replied to a message, then your back button goes to about 6 pages where you've been replying, etc.

I'll start to close threads when they get to three pages, I think.

Welcome back, y'all! I feel well rested. Behave yourselves, at least for today

What I'd like to see is a pop up add after every couple of pages clicked on.

And, how about a constant eye catching moving add on the top of every page?

Every page should have to be side scrolled!

How about pop up adds that appear behind your browser for porn sites? Those are neat when you shut down... or the kids shut down.....

How about rigging the site so that when you get here, your "back" button won't take you back to where you were before, but just to the home page?

There should be at least eight "clicks" to get to where you really want to go.

Oh, and pop up adds with the "close" button coming up just off screen, so you have to move the add to close it?

Kidding.

Just a collection of things that annoy me on web sites.

I kinda like it here, as it is.

Don't forget the X10 camera ads. We MUST have some of those.

Michelle: if you've just replied to a message, then your back button goes to about 6 pages where you've been replying, etc.

I circumvented this problem by bookmarking the "Today's Active Topics" page and then it is just two clicks to get back to it (one to Favorites and then to "Today's Active Topics" )

Or how about whenever you click the 'back' button, you get taken to a blank page, and then automatically returned to the page you were coming from within half a second so that you can't click 'back' a second time quick enough to get to where you want to go! Why has this not been done already?! I find it outrageous that we would allow such potential improvements to be ignored for so very long

If you use MSIE 5 or later you click the down arrow near the back button to pick how far back you wish to go.

Or, bash the backspace key maniacally until you get to where you want to be.

Another thing that makes me nuts. The Today's Active Topics page rolls over at midnight every night and starts from scratch again. Is it possible to set it so that all topics that have been active in the last 24 hours show on that page? And whenever a topic has been posted on more than 24 hours ago it drops off instead of all of them dropping off at once at midnight? For instance, if it's 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Today's Active Topics could show all topics that have been active since 12:31 a.m. on Monday? Or if, say a topic had been last posted to at 5:34 p.m. on a Monday, it drops off Today's Active Topics on Tuesday at that time instead of midnight the night before?

I'm not sure if that's possible with UBB, but it would be great if it was.

Back to camera adds, apparently they are good for the home and office.

I know if I was an office manager, I would definitely have the office under surveillance if she was there. Harhar.

One of my managers was suckered into buying one of those cameras. I can't believe these people aren't sued for false advertising. They work like Sh**
