Canadian appeal over G8 agenda

Oh great

quote:
Primary among these are a plan to boost development in Africa.

Just what the world needs. The Liberals "boosting development" in Africa. More like feeding militias, raping land, and stealing resources.

Other topics
Canada had planned to work on include bridging the gap between rich and poor and
ensuring the world's most backward societies benefited more from high
technology.

HA! I'd be surprised if the gap between the rich and poor even makes it to the DRAFT agenda! And what the hell do they mean by "backward"?

Yeah it seems like our gov't has some great policies when it comes to Sudan. We're really making some contributions there.

Unfortunatly we will never hear about the good work that Canada does do. It doesn't get the front pages for the simple fact that when programs have positive outcomes and people benefit its just not sexy like violence.
The new mandate for Foreign Affairs is to create favourable trading conditions. I personally feel this is putting the cart before the horse. It may be like trying to put a square peg in a round hole.
