I've managed to avoid spam. I get very little. The last two days I've gotten some disturbing stuff which I didn't recognize would be pornographic in content until I opened it. It was a site that focused on selling dolls. These dolls were intended for adults who wanted to have intimate relations with them. I could have died happy without ever knowing that there is some freak out there having intercourse with dolls, my little pony, or mr. potato head

Is there anyway without closing my account I can control this?

Check your e-mail servers spam filter controls. You may be able to adjust them to be stricter with incoming e-mails. There are also specialized functions which you can have your e-mail server trash e-mails from certain spam heavy domains or if they contain certain key words. I use an e-mail server for much of my e-mails that keeps sending me spam in cyrillic (Russian) script. You would think by now they would have a spam filter that would immediate trash all spam in Cyrillic text, Alas no. If all else fails, if it looks odd, chances are it is.
