quote:

xenomancy - divination using strangers
xenomania - inordinate attachment to foreign things
xenomenia - menstruation from abnormal orifices
xenomorphic - having a form not its own
...
xilinous - of or pertaining to cotton
xiphias - swordfish
xiphoid - sword-shaped
xiphopagus - conjoined twins joined by a band of flesh on the torso

Anyone had a use for the word "xenomenia"?

I might. During the winter my nose bleeds often enough that it could be claimed I had xenomenia.

Anyway, there are other X-words:

Xenabiotic - pertaining to the body of Xena, Princess Warrior
Xenadicheionology - study of hotels containing Xena, Princess Warrior
Xenadocial - hospitality as demonstrated by Xena, Princess Warrior, i.e. not being killed
....
Xenamania - inordinate attachment to Xena, Princess Warrior, c.f. Gabrielle

Yeah yeah...stupid...but I had to.

I bet you don't think that flaccid is an x word -- but in a way, it is.

(Pronounce "flac-sid," or ... "flaxid"! )

Yes, but it didn't begin with an x. And in any case, what made you think of flaccid?

How do you pluralize letters anyhow?

Would you say,

letters "x"

or

x letters

or

two x's

or

two xs

or

"x"s

or should you spell it out:

exes?

cees?

But then what do you do about vowels, which really can't be spelled out, like "a"?

Get. Out. Are you serious?

Mail sex! A precurser to phone sex - I love it!

Oh, that reminds me. I was going to start a thread on something...now's as good a time as any.
