Last night I watched the senate comittee debate Bill-C 42. The senators didn't have a clue. All the wrong things with this bill was pointed out to them but they didn't want to listen. They smiled and said thank you. What is wrong with our senators, don't they have enough backbone to say NO to their dictator and YES to the people. They can't lose their plush oppointed job because they are oppointed for life, not that a lot of them has much life left in them. When are we going to see a government at election time promise a elected senate with no political ties? God help us all.

We are well and truly lost when we look to a body of political catamites to preserve civil liberties.

The fact that these human carbuncles have accepted an appointed position that regularly interferes with the expression of the will of the people (such as it is) from the House of Commons proves they are enemies of liberty and an active threat to democracy.

In politics, sometimes it's tempting to fall back on "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".

But let us not go hat in hand to those camel fluffers in the dead chamber. Know them for what they are. Enemies of liberty, and the worst whores politics has to offer.

"When all you've got is a hammer, every problem begins to look like a nail."

Use the tools at hand to solve the immediate problem. Fashion the tools you need to solve longer-term problems. And finally, don't fall into the hammer trap as I mentioned above.

Be a pragmatist, not just a visionary.

Dr Conway. What tools do you have at hand when two provinces run this country? Quebec & Ontario.

The provinces don`t run this country- big business does.

If it were really Québec and Ontario that ran things, wouldn`t the provincial governments of at least one of the provinces named not be in a state of total conflict with the feds?
