Does anyone have any polls relating to youth and politics?

If not, then do you have any links to polling companies?

...I'm sure I could also make a more interesting thread with this title- how about I come back later when I think of one?

Until then, if you've got polls, or links to polls, or polling companies- post 'em!!!

You may find it fascinating.

As for pollsters, here are some:

Pollara - http://www.pollara.ca/new/POLLARA_NET.html

Environics - http://erg.environics.net/

Ipsos-Reid - http://www.angusreid.com/ (oddly enough they haven't changed their domain)

Leger and Leger - http://www.legermarketing.com/english/set.html

I did find in a search a paper from the US called "Will they engage? Political Knowledge, Participation and Attitudes of Generations X and Y" from the Center for Civic Education: http://www.civiced.org/research_engage.pdf

Just from skimming it, it seems fairly useful and at least includes references to additional sources of information.

Also try the Canada Election Study at: http://www.fas.umontreal.ca/pol/ces-eec/ces.html particularly the paper, "The Evolving Nature of Non-Voting: Evidence from Canada" which has some things to say about youth as a determinant of non-participation. Unfortunately there isn't too much else of direct use to you there until they make their full data set available.
